Some doctors thrive in a personality-based clinic and have a loyal following no matter what services or equipment they offer, but for most chiropractic offices who are trying to grow and expand, new equipment purchases help us stay relevant and continue to service our client base in the best, most up-to-date manner possible. So, regarding equipment purchasing: should you lease, get a bank loan, or pay cash?

Texas Chiropractic College has announced that Sandra Hughes, DC, MEd, FICC, will replace current TCC President Stephen Foster, DC, FICC, effective Sept. 1, 2023. Dr. Hughes will be the first female president of TCC in the institution’s 112-year history.
In naming Dr. Hughes as president elect of the college in May, the TCC Board of Regents appoints a replacement for Dr. Foster with considerable experience as an educator and leader. A 1994 TCC graduate, she has served at her alma mater for two decades in various roles, most recently as executive vice president.
“Dr. Hughes is the logical choice to be the next President of Texas Chiropractic College,” said Dawn Schwab, DC, chair of the TCC Board of Regents. “Her experience working side-by-side with Dr. Foster [has been] invaluable. TCC will continue to grow and thrive under Dr. Hughes as she elevates TCC programs with innovative ways to educate our students. As a board, we look forward to walking alongside her.”
In departing TCC, Dr. Foster, president of the college since 2016, leaves an impressive legacy that includes serving in various roles as a faculty member and administrator since 1994. A TCC press release announcing the transition notes that as president, his “focus on student academic success and improving the student experience has delivered the highest graduation rates and student satisfaction in the past two decades.”
It has been an honor to serve as President of Texas Chiropractic College, said Dr. Foster, a 1990 alumnus. “My goal has been to deliver the very best experience for students, faculty, and staff, while also embracing our alumni and community. I am proud of where Texas Chiropractic College stands today and I know the best is yet to come.”
