It’s a new year and many chiropractors are evaluating what will enhance their respective practices, particularly as it relates to their bottom line. One of the most common questions I get is: “Do I need to be credentialed to bill insurance, and what are the best plans to join?” It’s a loaded question – but one every DC ponders. Whether you're already in-network or pondering whether to join, here's what you need to know.
Chiropractic Calendar Now Online
What kinds of seminars are available in my area? When will they take place? Who will be speaking? The answers to these and many other questions are now available online, courtesy of the new Chiropractic Calendar program, just launched on ChiroWeb.com. The program gives seminar and event sponsors the ability to add information directly into the system using their own online accounts. Besides the usual listing of date, event and location information available in Dynamic Chiropractic's print version (see page 46), the online version is capable of providing much more, including:
- complete curriculum and other information about each seminar, complete with photographs;
- a list of all instructors for a particular course, including photographs and bios;
- an online map to each seminar location;
- links to sponsor Web sites and e-mail links; and
- geographic, sponsor, instructor and topic search capabilities. (Find what you want, where you want it, and with the instructor(s) you want teaching it!)
The program provides users with several unique search capabilities: A doctor can search for all of the seminars available in a given geographic area, search for all seminars taught by a particular instructor, find seminars on specific topics, or any combination of up to seven search criteria.
