When sports chiropractors first appeared at the Olympic Games in the 1980s, it was alongside individual athletes who had experienced the benefits of chiropractic care in their training and recovery processes at home. Fast forward to Paris 2024, where chiropractic care was available in the polyclinic for all athletes, and the attitude has now evolved to recognize that “every athlete deserves access to sports chiropractic."
Chiropractic Women’s World Cup Commercial Wins MarCom
Last year, the Foundation for Chiropractic Progress produced a 30-second video commercial featuring professional soccer player Olivia Athens, which aired during the FIFA Women’s World Cup. The commercial showcasing Olivia’s chiropractic story aired on digital platforms, as well as national and satellite cable networks with secured spots on ESPN, Fox Sports, Bein Sports and others.
That commercial has been recognized by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (AMCP), which honored the video with its MarCom Gold Award. AMCP is an international organization consisting of several thousand creative professionals. It’s the industry’s pre-eminent third-party evaluator of creative work.
The organization has judged over 300,000 entries since its formation in 1994. Winning a MarCom Award is highly sought-after, peer recognition from the creative industry.
“Teaming up with Olivia to share the benefits of chiropractic has been incredible,” said Sherry McAllister, DC, president of the F4CP. “Her story is impactful, inspiring, and it showcases how chiropractic care helped guide her to being the successful athlete she is today. Winning a MarCom Gold for the second year in a row strengthens our passion to continue to educate the world about chiropractic care.”
The F4CP won its first MarCom Gold for its 2022 ChiroThon, the three-day, telethon-style live-streaming event launched at the Florida Chiropractic Association’s The National. The F4CP topped the strategic communications, special-event category.1 (That same year, the F4CP also won the Telly Award, Viddy Award and Digital Health Award.)
This latest MarCom Gold Award caps another award-winning year for the foundation, with five awards won in 2023, including the 40th Annual Healthcare Advertising Award, Hermes Creative Award, AVA Digital Award, and Healthcare Digital Marketing Award.
The F4CP has an ambitious chiropractic advertising campaign lined up for 2024, which it will be announcing in the coming months.
