NBCE Contributes Grant in Support of Foundation for Chiropractic Progress

The Foundation for Chiropractic Progress (F4CP) is pleased to recognize the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners (NBCE) for its grant in support of the F4CP positive press campaign. The generous contribution will bring attention to the advantages of chiropractic education via press materials.

"We are excited to partner with the Foundation for Chiropractic Progress and the Association of Chiropractic Colleges to promote chiropractic as a career choice," said Dr. Norman Ouzts, president of the NBCE. "Our future is dependent upon new people entering our profession."

Grateful to have gained the support of the NBCE, Kent S. Greenawalt, chairman, F4CP, stated: "Similar to the F4CP, the NBCE is dedicated to adherence of the highest standards in advancing the chiropractic profession. I am thrilled that the organization has elected to support our campaign -- and hopeful that others will follow its lead and invest in the future of chiropractic."

There has long been an attempt by those who are not legitimate doctors of chiropractic to usurp the title of chiropractor from those who have earned their degree from an accredited chiropractic program. This generally happens in countries where the local doctors of chiropractic have yet to pass legislation requiring a degree from an accredited institution. The result is essentially two chiropractic professions. Nowhere is this danger more pronounced than in Japan.
