Because they have yet to pass national legislation protecting the chiropractic profession, Japanese DCs are in a similar situation that U.S. DCs faced. We were fortunate enough to be able to pass chiropractic licensure state by state. The DCs in Japan must accomplish this nationally, which has proved to be an extremely difficult task. And in spite of their efforts, Japanese DCs are currently faced with two chiropractic professions.
ONE Concept Announces First Conference to Integrate Chiropractic, Acupuncture and Massage Practitioners
ONE Concept is pleased to announce that for the first time, the American Massage Conference, American Chiropractic Conference and American Acupuncture Conference will be held in conjunction with one another at the Town and Country Resort & Conference Center in San Diego, April 20-22, 2012. Over 100 hours of continuing education are available at the conference, many of which will be one-hour courses included in a single $40 fee per attendee that also includes trade show access.
This cross-profession and colleague-based format was chosen because many practitioners in these three professions are currently working alongside one another to improve patient outcomes through the application of complementary and alternative health care. The event organizers believe this event can encourage and inspire increased collaboration, referral and support.
"Each of these professions supports the health and wellness of their clients in very specific and distinct ways," said Scott Darnell, ONE Concept co-founder. "We hope to take that support a step further by providing an environment which allows each profession an opportunity to understand each other and work together to support the physical health of their clients, and the financial health of their respective practices."
Many of the free one-hour courses are being taught by industry leading educators like Benny Vaughn, Tina Allen, Dr. Richard S. Cheung, Dr. Jeffrey Tucker, James Waslaski, Whitney Lowe, Dr. Richard Tan, Michael Gaeta, Erik Dalton, Meagan Holub, Angie Dubis, David Kent, Dr. Scott D. Banks, and many more elite educators from all three professions.
The San Diego chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation will benefit from the pre-conference ONE Concept Charity Golf Invitational at the Riverwalk Golf Club on Thursday, April 19. The proceeds will help grant a wish to one area Wish child who has already been selected.
Of the $150 collected from each golfer, a $50 donation will be made to Make-A-Wish Foundation San Diego. In turn, each golfer will receive one round of golf, golf cart, continental breakfast and a BBQ lunch. A silent auction and raffle will be held immediately after the tournament with the Make-A-Wish recipient and their family.
"We have several new opportunities and experiences this year," said Monica Pasinato-Forchielli, ONE Concept co-founder. "The great attendance and reception we received for the now world-famous networking events have ensured their continuance. The Facebook meet and greet is always a must-attend event, the ONE Concept Gala and Awards Ceremony will be out of this world!"
