Logan College Awards Honorary Degree to Foot Levelers' President

Kent S. Greenawalt has received an honorary doctor of laws degree from the Logan Board of Trustees and the administration of Logan College of Chiropractic/University Programs. Greenawalt was presented with his degree at Logan College's 165th commencement ceremony on Aug. 20, 2011 in St. Louis, where he was the commencement speaker.

"Mr. Greenawalt and his company have revolutionized the foot orthotic industry with patented procedures. It is indeed an honor for Logan to provide this honorary degree to a distinguished and accomplished individual as Kent Greenawalt," said Steven C. Roberts, chairman of the Logan's Board of Trustees.

While Greenawalt is not a doctor of chiropractic, the profession has always been part of his life. His late father was a chiropractor who founded Foot Levelers. Greenawalt continues his father's vision, working hard to help others have a healthier, pain-free life. He has been Foot Levelers' president and CEO since 1989.

Greenawalt is also a committed supporter of chiropractic education, as evidenced by the numerous grants, research studies, donations, and scholarships awarded. In 2003, Kent spearheaded the formation of the Foundation for Chiropractic Progress (FCP). The FCP embraces a mission of generating positive press for the chiropractic profession and increasing public awareness to the many benefits associated with chiropractic care. He currently serves as the founder and chairman of the board for the FCP.
