SAN CLEMENTE, Calif. - Jeffrey Bland, PhD, FACN, FACB, chief science officer for Metagenics, Inc., has received the Natural Products Association's top honor, the President's Award, for his outstanding long-time contributions to the natural products industry. The award was presented at the NPA national annual convention in June.
Dr. Jeffrey Bland is internationally respected for his groundbreaking work in nutritional genomics, nutritional biochemistry and applied clinical nutrition. He is the founder of the Institute for Functional Medicine and co-founder of Bastyr University, two highly respected organizations that teach nutritional medicine applications. He has written nine books on nutrition for healthcare professionals and the general public and is the principal author of over 100 peer-reviewed research articles.
The NPA selection committee cited Dr. Bland's "extensive service to the natural products industry and commitment to natural medical care and education" and praised the "passion in his professional life that sets a standard of behavior for the treatment of others within the industry."

"But selecting Dr. Bland for our President's Award was an easy choice. He has dedicated so much of his career and energies to a pursuit that has benefited both the public and our industry. NPA was delighted to recognize Dr. Bland with its award."

Our patients are treated with lifestyle modification, exercise, nutritional supplements, diet and a whole-body approach to accelerate the natural healing process. We are not simply CMT providers.
The results of a global survey released late last year (2023) unveiled some startling findings among medical and nursing students. The “Clinician of the Future: 2023 Education Edition” surveyed 2,212 students, of which 446 were in the United States, from 91 countries.
