LACC's 10th Annual Visiting Scholar Symposium
WHITTIER -- The postgraduate division of the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic will hold its 10th annual Interdisciplinary Symposium Oct. 10-11, 1998 on campus. The focus this year will be on effective assessment and treatment approaches to the lumbar spine.
The symposium's international panel of multidisciplinary experts will include:

CCCLA Interns Participate in Health Fair
Thirteen Cleveland Chiropractic College Los Angeles interns did health screenings at the Los Angeles City College Annual Health Fair on May 6.
The interns, supervised by Dr. John Raithel, screened about 220 students. The interns were Michael Dorausch; Mina Pashaie; Payam Yermian; Mark Siegal; Ed Domingues; Dennis O'Brien; Richeon Eledge; Greg Fecht; Matt Freedman; Jason Pimentel; Rafael Rios; Monica Hernandez; Marvin Lee, and Matt Freedman.
The fair provided a broad range of health examinations: eye; ear; dental; respiration; blood pressure; HIV testing; and chiropractic spinal screening.
Life West Golfers Raise Money for Chiropractic Research
SAN LORENZO -- The Life West Golf Classic, Northern California's largest chiropractic golf tournament, which raise money for the LCCW research department, fielded 111 golfers for the annual event.
Education Finance Group (Yarmouth Port, Massachusetts) returned as the tournament's premier gold sponsor. The silver sponsors were Foot Levelers, Inc., and the National Chiropractic Mutual Insurance Company; the OUM Chiropractic Program was a bronze sponsors. Approximately 75 businesses and organizations supported the tournament.
