Because they have yet to pass national legislation protecting the chiropractic profession, Japanese DCs are in a similar situation that U.S. DCs faced. We were fortunate enough to be able to pass chiropractic licensure state by state. The DCs in Japan must accomplish this nationally, which has proved to be an extremely difficult task. Washington State DC Is 3rd-Term Representative
Tom Campbell, DC, (R-Roy) is in his third term in the Washington State House of Representatives. He is serving again on the health committee and as vice chairman of three committees: state government, children and family services, and rules.
Rep. Tom Campbell supported the effort to place into law the "any category of provider" provision which requires all licensed providers to be included in all policies in the state.
"The all category of provider law is changing the health insurance industry in our state," he told a recent gathering. "It will help patients to choose what is best for them, not what's best for the insurance industry. This law is among my most satisfying accomplishments in the legislature."
Dr. Campbell is a Life graduate, and has owned and operated a chiropratic clinic is Spanaway since 1983. He represents the 2nd legislative district in Pierce County, Washington.
