More Upgrades to Chiropractic Websites on ChiroWeb

Dynamic Chiropractic Staff

To provide faster, easier service for doctors of chiropractic, we've made some changes to ChiroWeb. The most recent improvements include:

  • New Security Upgrades. The Website Administrator previously used a security system that incorporated "cookies." While no information was collected or used with this system, it did raise some concern from DCs. A new "cookie-less" security system been instituted, allowing you to enter and build your website with complete privacy.

  • Easier Uploading of Photographs. The new Photo Upload program is now even easier to use to place your photographs throughout your website.

  • Website Traffic Statistics. This new feature allows you to track the number of visitors to your website.

  • Chiropractic Website Directory. Your website will also be listed in a special directory on ChiroWeb.com, making it easier for people to find your practice on line. With over 209,000 unique visitors last per month, ChiroWeb is easily the most visited chiropractic site on the internet.

There has long been an attempt by those who are not legitimate doctors of chiropractic to usurp the title of chiropractor from those who have earned their degree from an accredited chiropractic program. This generally happens in countries where the local doctors of chiropractic have yet to pass legislation requiring a degree from an accredited institution. The result is essentially two chiropractic professions. Nowhere is this danger more pronounced than in Japan.

UHC/Optum Requires Preauthorization for Medicare-Covered Chiropractic Services

Effective Sept. 1, 2024, UHC/Optum is requiring prior authorization for the following services delivered in office and outpatient hospital settings, excluding services in the home: Medicare-covered chiropractic services (when billed with the AT-modifier), as well as physical therapy (PT), occupational therapy (OT), and speech therapy (ST).
