The proposed merger of the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners and Federation of Chiropractic Licensing Boards was approved by NBCE delegates and FCLB members at their respective annual meetings, held jointly in Atlanta, Ga., this year. Per the new bylaws, the new entity takes the NBCE name, with FCLB continuing as a department within NBCE. The federation will continue to enjoy Board of Directors representation on what will be a single, expanded board.

New ACA Leadership, Latest Awards
Marcus Nynas, DC, is the new president of the American Chiropractic Association, joining Kris Anderson, DC, MS (vice president) on the 2025-26 board. Elections at this year’s annual ACA meeting yielded three other new board members: Robert Ault, DC, MBA; Michael Massey, DC; and Michael Welker, DC.
Continuing their terms on the board: Adrian Stratton, MBA, CPP, PRP; and Maithy Ta, DC; while Immediate Past President Leo Bronston, DC, MAppSC, and Eric Benson, DC, FIAMA, concluded their board service.
At the meeting, the ACA also honored chiropractors in several categories with awards. Chiropractor of the Year: Marcus Nynas, DC; George B. McClelland Researcher of the Year: William Reed, DC, PhD; Academician of the Year: Michael Schneider, DC, PhD; Delegate / Alternate Delegate of the Year: David Paris, DC, MS, DACRB / Kathryn Kennedy, DC; and Flynn-Lynch Award: Mia R. Ortega, DC, DIANM, MAEd.

The Foundation for Chiropractic Progress and the Association of New Jersey Chiropractors have a joint goal: raise $75,000 for chiropractic public awareness during the fourth annual ChiroThon, May 16-17. The first ChiroThon fundraising event took place in 2022 at the Florida Chiropractic Association’s The National. ChiroThon is unique in that it allows the public and the profession to unite in supporting chiropractic and public awareness of its benefits.
