First Chiropractor on AMA CPT Editorial Panel

Dr. Leo Bronston is now a member of the American Medical Association’s Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) Editorial Panel – the first doctor of chiropractic appointed by the AMA Board of Trustees to serve on the panel. He is one of two representatives from the CPT Health Care Professionals Advisory Committee (HCPAC), which is composed of organizations representing qualified non-physician health care professionals. The 21-member CPT Editorial Panel, which maintains the CPT code set for documentation / claims purposes throughout the health care industry, meets three times annually.

“Dr. Bronston’s appointment is a great honor and a testament to his many years of work and dedication to coding-related issues. It is also a proud and historic moment for the chiropractic profession to achieve representation on the CPT Editorial Panel,” said ACA President Michael Martin, DC, in an ACA press release reporting on Dr. Bronston’s appointment.

ACA Meeting: New President, Board

The 2024-25 ACA Board of Governors features a new president: Dr. Leo Bronston. Joining Dr. Bronston on the six-member board is Dr. Marcus Nynas, re-elected by the board as its vice president; Drs. Kris Anderson and Adrian Stratton (both newly elected by the House of Delegates); and Drs. Eric Benson and Maithy B. Ta (both of whom continue their terms on the board).
