When sports chiropractors first appeared at the Olympic Games in the 1980s, it was alongside individual athletes who had experienced the benefits of chiropractic care in their training and recovery processes at home. Fast forward to Paris 2024, where chiropractic care was available in the polyclinic for all athletes, and the attitude has now evolved to recognize that “every athlete deserves access to sports chiropractic."

Parker University First in the Nation to Offer This
By incorporating science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) into its Health Information Management program, Parker University becomes the first in the nation to do so. In a press announcement, Parker emphasized the value of STEM in developing robust health information management careers:
“Parker University is proud to offer the first HIM program in the nation to incorporate STEM ... An education around science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM learning) helps promote critical thinking, curiosity, persistence, decision-making, leadership, entrepreneurship, and more. The current healthcare industry relies on the pertinent knowledge and skills acquired through a STEM education. STEM-related skills are essential for students, from medical research and diagnostics to patient care and health administration.”

2023 Sports DC of the Year
Dr. Robert (Bob) Nelson is the American Chiropractic Association Sports Council’s Sports Chiropractor of the Year. Last year’s award recipient, Dr. Brian Nook, presented the award to Dr. Nelson at the ACASC Symposium in October 2023, and offered high praise in doing so:

F4CP Appoints New Board Member
Dr. Peter Martin, former president of Palmer Chiropractic College West (1992-2000 and 2005-2006), Palmer Florida (2005-2023,) and the California Chiropractic Association (1988-1989), is the newest member of the Foundation for Chiropractic Progress (F4CP) Board of Directors.
“We are excited to welcome Dr. Martin to the Foundation’s Board of Directors,” said Kent Greenawalt, foundation chair, in an F4CP press release. “Dr. Martin has been a longtime supporter of the Foundation and a staple of excellence in the chiropractic profession. His support and knowledge will be a great addition to our board.”
