When sports chiropractors first appeared at the Olympic Games in the 1980s, it was alongside individual athletes who had experienced the benefits of chiropractic care in their training and recovery processes at home. Fast forward to Paris 2024, where chiropractic care was available in the polyclinic for all athletes, and the attitude has now evolved to recognize that “every athlete deserves access to sports chiropractic."
H. Gordon Ainsleigh, DC, CCN
Dr. H. Gordon Ainsleigh, a 1983 graduate of Western States University, is an active trail runner, rock climber and bicyclist at age 73 who lives with his wife, Paula, a fitness professional, in the Sierra foothills community of Meadow Vista in Northern California. In his semi-retirement, he has two careers: chiropractic health care and tree work (shaping and removal, fire-safe clearing, firewood). He authored the first literature review study on the cancer-preventing effects of sun exposure published in a peer-reviewed medical journal (PMID: 8475009).
