Kent S. Greenawalt Legacy Award Winners Announced
At a VIP reception celebrating its 20th anniversary, the Foundation for Chiropractic Progress unveiled the Kent S. Greenawalt Legacy Award, named after the foundation's founder. The F4CP also announced the first four recipients of the award during the reception, held at this year's The National by FCA in Orlando, Fla.: Drs. Thomas Klapp, Carol Ann Malizia, Louis Sportelli and Heidi Haavik.
"Our four chosen recipients have demonstrated an unwavering commitment to excellence, a dedication to pushing boundaries, and an insatiable curiosity that fuels their pursuit of greatness," enthused Dr. Sherry McAllister, foundation president. "Their achievements have incited major progressions for the entire profession."
Dr. Klapp served the profession for 40 years before his untimely passing in 2020. He was ChiroCongress (formerly COCSA - Congress of Chiropractic State Associations) president; Life University, ICA and F4CP board member; and perhaps most notably, helped spearhead the association merger that resulted in what is today the Michigan Association of Chiropractors.
