A historic meeting between chiropractic and Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) leadership took place on March 10th, 2026, in Washington, D.C., featuring representatives from chiropractic national organizations, professional associations and policy principals. The collective goal: advancing the role of chiropractic in improving the health of Americans. Meeting participants focused on long-standing issues that have affected the chiropractic profession for decades, including access to care, reimbursement parity, and ensuring DCs have an appropriate role in national health policy discussions.

Making a million dollars doesn't seem all that uncommon these days, but unfortunately, giving away a million dollars seems to be increasingly rare. Not so in the case of Palmer alumnus Charles Keller, DC. A 1955 graduate, Dr. Keller recently pledged $1 million (including $500,000 in cash) as a legacy gift that "supports current projects underway at the college."
"I hope people will say that Charlie Keller made life a little bit better at the top of Brady Street Hill," he said. "I hope that they will say that he gave that institution something that has great value not just financially, but for humanity. What a pleasure it is to influence someone else's life in a profession that is meaningful to me. If I'm helping someone else to get into ‘the game,' that's extremely gratifying. I hope other graduates will do the same because, wow, we can make a difference together."
Dr. Keller's gift "comes at a time of unprecedented growth and momentum" throughout the Palmer College system, despite the COVID-19 pandemic, according to a Palmer press release. Among the current expansion projects underway: construction of the David D. Palmer Learning Commons at Palmer's Davenport campus, and a new academic building at the Palmer Florida campus.
"What we can accomplish is only possible because of the contributions alumni like Dr. Keller make to the College," said Dennis Marchiori, DC, PhD, chancellor and CEO of Palmer College. "Despite a tough year in 2020, we saw incredible generosity, which only affirms our vision for the future."
