National, Western States Forge CE Partnership

National University of Health Sciences and the University of Western States recently announced a unique partnership whereby the two schools will combine resources to expand the continuing-education opportunities they provide to the profession. The collaboration will feature a shared calendar of events including online courses and new live / prerecorded webinars, and National will provide appropriate CE licensing for all coursework offered.


New Appointments at NYCC

New York Chiropractic College recently named Dr. Anne E. Killen vice president of academic affairs and Dr. J. Todd Knudsen vice president of institutional advancement and special projects. Both appointments take effect Sept. 1, 2017.

Dr. Killen, who succeeds new NYCC president Dr. Michael Mestan, assumes the position following service as associate vice president, Center for Professional Studies, at Keuka College in Keuka Park, New York; while Dr. Knudsen, the former vice chair of the Association of Chiropractic Colleges and current member of the Council on Chiropractic Education (CCE) Site Team Academy, replaces Dr. Dave Odiorne, who recently retired from the position.


Core Products Acquires Swede-O

Core Products International, Inc., recently announced the acquisition of Swede-O. Core Products will continue the Swede-O brand of rehabilitative braces and North Branch, Minn., operations.

"We have great respect for the quality and history of the Swede-O product line," said Philip Mattison, Core Products president and founder. "Here at Core we are looking forward to leveraging our innovative capabilities, lean manufacturing processes, and marketing expertise to grow the Swede-O brand."
