A historic meeting between chiropractic and Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) leadership took place on March 10th, 2026, in Washington, D.C., featuring representatives from chiropractic national organizations, professional associations and policy principals. Meeting participants focused on long-standing issues that have affected the chiropractic profession for decades, including access to care, reimbursement parity, and ensuring DCs have an appropriate role in national health policy discussions.
| Digital ExclusiveExtended Preview of "Pain in America" to Air at NCLC in March
At the request of American Chiropractic Association (ACA) President, Dr. Keith Overland, a special extended preview of the forthcoming PBS documentary, "Pain in America: The Silver Tsunami," will premier in March at the ACA's National Chiropractic Legislative Conference (NCLC) and Educational Symposium.
The preview will take place at 10 a.m. on March 7 at the Capital Hilton Hotel in Washington, D.C. "Pain in America" Producer and Director, Don Barrett, an Academy Award winner, will also be a featured speaker during the NCLC general session on March 7.
"Pain in America: The Silver Tsunami" explores in depth the problem the health care system will have serving the 79 million baby boomers who will cross the 65-year threshold between now and 2029. Currently, the system can't aggressively cope with a quarter of that number of retirees, many of whom will experience multiple crises of pain and illness.
For the first time, a broadcast television documentary will take a close look at how chiropractic might help save the nation from the greatest challenge health care has faced in its history, not to mention the very real possibility of national bankruptcy. This 50-one minute program will appear on PBS at a date to be shortly announced.
