Logan College of Chiropractic / University Programs President, George A. Goodman, DC, FICC, has announced changes in the administration of its health centers and its postgraduate and related professional education department. Ralph Barrale, DC, vice president of chiropractic affairs with responsibility for the health centers and postgraduate programs, will now devote all of his time to overseeing the operation of Logan's seven health centers in the metropolitan St. Louis area, and Logan will recruit for a new director of postgraduate and related professional education.
"For the past 15 years, Dr. Barrale has done an outstanding job of administering Logan's postgraduate and continuing education programs," said Dr. Goodman. "His years of administrative experience will now be brought to bear more directly on improving our excellent health centers and making them even better."
Logan operates four fee-for-service chiropractic-teaching clinics. One is located on the main campus in Chesterfield, two in St. Charles County and another in south St. Louis County. The college also operates community service clinics at the Salvation Army's Rehabilitation Center on Forest Park Boulevard and at the St. Patrick Center, a Catholic Charities facility located on Tucker Blvd., in downtown St. Louis, and plays a significant role in the St. Louis CHIPS program serving the underinsured and uninsured populations. Under an agreement with the Department of Veterans Affairs, Logan College of Chiropractic also provides part-time chiropractic clinic services at the Veterans Administration Medical Center (VAMC) Jefferson Barracksfacility in south St. Louis County.
These health centers offer expert care through access to qualified chiropractic specialists in orthopedics, neurology, sports injuries, pediatrics, ergonomics, radiology and nutrition. Patients receive care from well-prepared student interns, who work under the direct supervision of experienced doctors of chiropractic who are of the teaching faculty at Logan.
The postgraduate and related professional education department provides high-quality continuing chiropractic education, certificate, and certification programs designed to meet the continuing education needs for license renewal of the various boards and regulatory agencies throughout the United States and Canada, and to enhance the doctor's skills in all areas of chiropractic practice including diagnosis, treatment, compliance, and business.
