Council of Chiropractic Acupuncture Symposium Scheduled for September

The 2012 Council of Chiropractic Acupuncture (CCA) Symposium is scheduled for Sept. 28-30 in St. Louis. Kicking off the three-day event is the ABCA Diplomate Exam on Sept. 28 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. This is the last chance to sit for the exam before the standards change. Friday, Sept 28th – Annual meeting / dinner at the home of Dr. Todd and Linda Frisch; RSVP is required. Call 636-207-6600. This year's theme is "Exploring New Horizons in Acupuncture and Wellness." Scheduled guest speaker at the annual meeting is Dr. Richard Yennie.

Scheduled symposium speakers include Norman Kettner, DC - "Acupuncture: From Needle to the Brain"; Stephen Cowan, MD, author of the new book Fire Child, Water Child - "The Dimensions of Attention – The Five Phases of ADHD"; Arthur Annis, DC - "Acupuncture, the Five Elements and the Brain"; and Gary Ditson, DC, LAc - "Auriculo-Acupuncture in Clinical Practice. Twelve CCEs are available, pending approval for chiropractic and te NCCAOM.

In addition to the Friday, Sept. 28 diplomate exam and annual meeting / dinner, the symposium is open from 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 29 and 8 a.m. – noon on Sunday, Sept. 30. Cost is $300 for CCA members, $350 for non-members and $150 for students. To register, click here. In an effort to meet each state's required deadline for CCE approval, we ask that you register at least 90 days in advance to allow enough time for the CCA to apply to your specific state for approval.
