It’s a new year and many chiropractors are evaluating what will enhance their respective practices, particularly as it relates to their bottom line. One of the most common questions I get is: “Do I need to be credentialed to bill insurance, and what are the best plans to join?” It’s a loaded question – but one every DC ponders. Whether you're already in-network or pondering whether to join, here's what you need to know.
Texas Chiropractic College Partners With Local Community Clinic
Texas Chiropractic College (TCC) and El Centro de Corazón have teamed up to provide chiropractic care at El Centro's Eastwood Clinic, entering into a formal agreement on Aug. 17, 2011.
The mission of TCC is to provide qualified students a patient-centered educational program leading to the doctor of chiropractic degree; and the mission of El Centro de Corazón is to promote the individual, community, and social health of the East End and the greater Houston area. Through this new partnership, a licensed chiropractor from TCC's Department of Clinics, working closely with TCC clinic students in their final year of the DC program, will provide chiropractic care, at no charge, to eligible people served by El Centro's Eastwood Clinic.
Chiropractic care is projected to become available at the Eastwood Clinic in the first half of September and be available on Mondays and Thursdays from 12-5 pm. These hours may be expanded in the future depending on the need. It is anticipated that the chiropractic clinic will be able to serve between 30-60 patients per week. For more information, please contact the El Centro de Corazón Eastwood Clinic at 412 Telephone Rd., Houston, Texas 77023, (713) 926-6229.
