A historic meeting between chiropractic and Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) leadership took place on March 10th, 2026, in Washington, D.C., featuring representatives from chiropractic national organizations, professional associations and policy principals. The collective goal: advancing the role of chiropractic in improving the health of Americans. Meeting participants focused on long-standing issues that have affected the chiropractic profession for decades, including access to care, reimbursement parity, and ensuring DCs have an appropriate role in national health policy discussions.

National University of Health Sciences (NUHS) received notice on July 29, 2011, from the Council on Chiropractic Education regarding accreditation of its Doctor of Chiropractic degree program in St. Petersburg, Fla. The CCE has awarded programmatic accreditation to both the Illinois campus (reaccreditation) and the Florida campus.
National opened the doors of its Florida campus to welcome its first DC students in Fall 2009. Its facilities are housed on the campus of St. Petersburg College (SPC) as part of NUHS' participation in the University Partnership Center at SPC. Since 2009, National has successfully expanded its facilities, faculty and student enrollment, in addition to opening a clinic for SPC and NUHS faculty, staff and students on the St. Petersburg College campus.
"We are very pleased to receive this notice from the Council on Chiropractic Education, and will continue to work toward a high standard of program excellence at both our Illinois and Florida campuses," said Dr. James F. Winterstein, president of NUHS.
