Nathan Hinkeldey has received the Clinical Excellence Award from the National Naval Medical Center, Bethesda, Md. The award was presented to Hinkeldey for demonstrating a high level of clinical knowledge, skill, and competency as a student intern at NNMC.
Nathan is a native of Alta, Iowa. He has a BS in Biology from Iowa State University and is a student at Palmer College of Chiropractic. He was selected from a highly competitive pool of chiropractic students to train at the highly coveted NNMC internship under William E. Morgan, DC.
While at NNMC, Nathan worked in the hospital chiropractic department and performed rotations in various medical specialties including neurosurgery, radiology, pain management, orthopedics, urology, and other clinics. He also assisted Dr. Morgan in caring for the Naval Academy Football Team, and contributed to the Chiropractic Clinic's transition and realignment, and the hospital's Joint Commission Survey.
"Nate has an insatiable appetite for learning and caring, and he epitomizes our hospital's mission," Dr. Morgan explains. "He is well deserving of this honor, and I am glad that he will be representing chiropractic as an amply qualified emissary for our profession."
