Dr. Brian Kelly became the second president of Life Chiropractic College West on Feb. 1, 2011. Dr Kelly succeeds Dr. Gerry Clum, who retired earlier this year after 30 years as Life West president.

Dr. Kelly states, "It is a privilege and an honor to carry the torch from Dr. Clum. Everyone is eager to be a part of the transformation which will be occurring over the next few years. Building upon the solid foundation that Dr. Clum set over the course of his tenure, I along with everyone here is committed to taking Life West to the next level. Watch us!"

Dr. Kelly, a native of New Zealand, was an undergraduate student at Victoria University, Wellington, New Zealand, and completed his professional education and training in chiropractic at the Phillip Institute of Technology (PIT) now the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT), Melbourne, Australia. He is presently completing a Master in Business Administration at Waikato University, Hamilton, New Zealand.

Dr. Kelly enjoyed a successful and vibrant chiropractic practice in Melbourne, Australia for over a decade before serving as president of the New Zealand College of Chiropractic over the past eight years. During that time, Dr. Kelly guided the New Zealand College through recognition by the Council on Accreditation of the Council on Chiropractic Education - Australasia. During his tenure as president, he was responsible for dramatically increasing the enrollment at the college and relocating to a new campus.

"This is an exciting time at Life West," said Dr. Kelly. "The San Francisco Bay Area is alive and vibrant, and we have a great team here to develop and inspire chiropractors grounded in the art, science and philosophy of chiropractic. These are the healers of the future."
