Chiropractic Care Featured On National Television

On August 6, the benefits of chiropractic care were witnessed on national television. "CBS This Morning," with hosts Harry Smith and Paula Zahn, included a segment featuring the World Champion San Francisco 49ers.

A portion of Greg Gumbel's sports segment featured Joe Montana, Jerry Rice, Roger Craig, and other members of the 49ers receiving chiropractic care from Nick Athens, D.C. of San Carlos, California. This was a historic event for our profession; we hope that other teams will follow the 49ers lead and turn to chirpractic care for their sports injuries.

A 36-year-old female presented on Nov. 18, 2025, with lumbar pain and left lower extremity radiculopathy. Following a comprehensive history, physical examination, and radiographic evaluation to assess anatomical and biomechanical factors, an immediate lumbar MRI was ordered due to the patient’s radiculopathic symptoms and clinical findings.
