On August 6, the benefits of chiropractic care were witnessed on national television. "CBS This Morning," with hosts Harry Smith and Paula Zahn, included a segment featuring the World Champion San Francisco 49ers.
A portion of Greg Gumbel's sports segment featured Joe Montana, Jerry Rice, Roger Craig, and other members of the 49ers receiving chiropractic care from Nick Athens, D.C. of San Carlos, California. This was a historic event for our profession; we hope that other teams will follow the 49ers lead and turn to chirpractic care for their sports injuries.

On Oct. 21, 2025, a judge in Florida issued a groundbreaking decision in Complete Care v State Farm, 25-CA-1063. Keeping our eyes smoothly focused while moving is no simple task because even the simple act of running produces head velocities in excess of 550° per second with head accelerations up to 6,000° per second. Failure to properly stabilize our eyes to compensate for rapid head motion could allow our eyes to over- or undershoot specific targets, which can result in blurred vision, nausea, impaired balance, and a greatly increased risk of falling.
