Some doctors thrive in a personality-based clinic and have a loyal following no matter what services or equipment they offer, but for most chiropractic offices who are trying to grow and expand, new equipment purchases help us stay relevant and continue to service our client base in the best, most up-to-date manner possible. So, regarding equipment purchasing: should you lease, get a bank loan, or pay cash?
Foot Levelers Celebrates 40th Anniversary
Charitable Seminar/Party Coming to St. Louis
Foot Levelers, Inc., on the road celebrations of 40 years of serving the chiropractic profession, is in the midst of a series of eight charitable seminars/parties. Stops in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, and Minneapolis have already been completed; St. Louis, Missouri is next (Sept. 12-13), followed by Atlanta (Oct. 10-11), Orlando (Oct. 24-25), and Newark (Nov. 7-8).The speakers for the birthday seminars are some of the most respected in the chiropractic profession: Dr. Terry Yochum, on x-ray techniques; Dr. Kim D. Christensen on biomechanics and rehabilitation; and Dr. Kenneth Murkowski on insurance. After each seminar, Foot Levelers invites DCs to stay for birthday events.
Each seminar costs a minimum of $75 for DCs, and $25 for CAs and chiropractic students. Foot Levelers will donate half of all fees collected after expenses to the chiropractic colleges (the registration form allows the DC to choose which college the percentage will go to). The other half will be used to fund the work of the Chiropractic Centennial Foundation (CCF) in preparation for chiropractic's 100th anniversary.
Dr. William F. Holmberg, chairman of the board of trustees for the Centennial Foundation, expressed the board's thanks to Monte H. Greenawalt, D.C., DABCO, founder of Foot Levelers, and Kent S. Greenawalt, president of Foot Levelers for the "generous donation they are making to ensure a successful profession-wide centennial celebration in 1995."
Dr. Donald P. Kern, president of Palmer College of Chiropractic (PCC) added his thanks: "Palmer College wishes to commend Foot Levelers for its support of chiropractic colleges and its generous donation to the Centennial Foundation. With half of the proceeds from its birthday seminars given to colleges, and half given to the Centennial Foundation, Foot Levelers has truly shown its dedication to the chiropractic profession."
