Because they have yet to pass national legislation protecting the chiropractic profession, Japanese DCs are in a similar situation that U.S. DCs faced. We were fortunate enough to be able to pass chiropractic licensure state by state. The DCs in Japan must accomplish this nationally, which has proved to be an extremely difficult task. And in spite of their efforts, Japanese DCs are currently faced with two chiropractic professions.
Society of Mangement Consultants to Meet
Richard E. Vincent, D.C., president of the Society of Chiropractic Management Consultants (SCMC) has announced the group's annual meeting will be held Tuesday, March 30, 1993 in Dallas, Texas.
The SCMC executive committee will confer Monday, March 29 to review applications for membership and establish strategies to protect what it calls the "integrity of the industry as it faces the demands of an ever-changing health care environment." The meeting will be devoted to an interchange of information and data, thus enabling member consultants to better serve the needs of their clients.
Election of officers will be held and active committees will offer their reports.
