When sports chiropractors first appeared at the Olympic Games in the 1980s, it was alongside individual athletes who had experienced the benefits of chiropractic care in their training and recovery processes at home. Fast forward to Paris 2024, where chiropractic care was available in the polyclinic for all athletes, and the attitude has now evolved to recognize that “every athlete deserves access to sports chiropractic."
Foot Levelers Contributes Nearly $120,000 to Colleges and CCF
LAS VEGAS, Nevada -- Foot Levelers, Inc., donated almost $120,000 to 19 chiropractic colleges and the Chiropractic Centennial Foundation (CCF) at a special reception held Friday, March 18th at the meeting of the Association of Chiropractic Colleges (ACC). This contribution represents the proceeds from Foot Levelers' Countdown '93 seminar series, which is being shared on a 50/50 basis between the attending DC's college of choice and the CCF.
Kent Greenawalt, president of Foot Levelers, and Dr. Monte Greenawalt, the company's founder and chairman, made the check presentations to the colleges and the CCF. Total monies donated have been approximately $220,000 for the first two years. Mr. Greenawalt stated that the program will continue into 1994 for a third series.

"We feel this is going to be an important year for chiropractic, and Foot Levelers wants to do everything it can to guarantee the profession's future," said Mr. Greenawalt. The 1994 seminars, which will provide 12 hours of license renewal credit in all states for those DCs attending, will be scheduled as follows:
June 18-19 Philadelphia, PA
July 23-24 Minneapolis, MN
August 13-14 San Diego, CA
August 20-21 New York, NY
September 10-11 St. Louis, MO
October 1-2 San Jose, CA
October 8-9 Pittsburgh, PA
November 5-6 Chicago, IL
"This is another opportunity for chiropractors to help their colleges, the chiropractic centennial, and chiropractic's future," commented Mr. Greenawalt. "We want to draw as many DCs to these seminars as possible because everyone gains from education, and the more money we take in from the modest registration fees, the more there will be to split between the colleges and the Foundation."
The seminars provide 12 hours of license renewal credit. Mr. Greenawalt urged DCs wishing to attend to make their reservations early as space is limited.
