When sports chiropractors first appeared at the Olympic Games in the 1980s, it was alongside individual athletes who had experienced the benefits of chiropractic care in their training and recovery processes at home. Fast forward to Paris 2024, where chiropractic care was available in the polyclinic for all athletes, and the attitude has now evolved to recognize that “every athlete deserves access to sports chiropractic."
Oklahaven Releases Testimonial Video
The Oklahaven Children's Chiropractic Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma has produced a video of patient testimonials from parents who's children were treated at Oklahaven. The children suffered from, among other diseases, asthma, cerebral palsy, and juvenile rheumatoid arthritis. The video tracks the children's progress with chiropractic treatment, including the story of a child deemed hopeless at birth who is now walking and playing.
Dr. Gilbert Rivera, president of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association, donated $5,000 to assist with the production of the video, and to help the 34-year-old Oklahaven Center continue its mission to give chiropractic care to children with health problems.
The Oklahaven video is available for a $45 donation (tax-deductible). The funds should be directed to: Oklahaven Children's Chiropractic Center, 4500 N. Meridian, Oklahoma City, OK 73112.

Dr. Gasparovic said his greatest challenge was treating the unique needs of the Paralympic athletes, and uses the examples set by the Paralympic athletes to motivate his patients.
