Some doctors thrive in a personality-based clinic and have a loyal following no matter what services or equipment they offer, but for most chiropractic offices who are trying to grow and expand, new equipment purchases help us stay relevant and continue to service our client base in the best, most up-to-date manner possible. So, regarding equipment purchasing: should you lease, get a bank loan, or pay cash?
Canadian Assoc. Donates $30,000 to CMCC Research
TORONTO, Canada -- In December 1995, Edward Barisa, executive director of the Canadian Chiropractic Association, presented a $30,000 donation check to CMCC President Dr. Jean Moss on behalf of the association's convention committee. This is the largest single donation toward chiropractic research that the college has ever received.
A large part of the funding will go toward a new science laboratory for several of CMCC's top researchers, allowing faculty to share valuable resources and collaborate on research projects.
"The generosity of the convention committee will open up several new possibilities for the advancement of chiropractic research at CMCC," said Dr. Moss. "We are grateful for (their) support in our goal to enhance the profession through high caliber, progressive research."
A leader in chiropractic research, CMCC and its researchers attracted more than $700,000 in new external funding for research activities in 1995. During the centennial convention of the Canadian Chiropractic Assoc., CMCC faculty placed first, second and third in the research platform awards.
