TORONTO, Ontario, Canada -- At the 1997 homecoming of the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC), the Governors' Club donated $100,000 to the college, bringing the total donations from the club to more than $1 million. Doug Brown, DC, chairman of the Governors' Club, presented the check to college president Dr. Jean Moss at the annual Governor's Club breakfast.

The Governors' Club has directed that half of the $100,000 donation will go to special capital projects at the college; the other half will go to the capital campaign for university affiliation. The Governors' Club also announced that their donations to the college over the next four years will go toward the capital campaign for university affiliation.

Dr. Moss expressed her gratitude to the Governors' Club at the breakfast. "With this donation to CMCC and our capital campaign, the members of the Governors' Club have made an enormous contribution to the future of the college and chiropractic in Canada," Dr. Moss said. "We have benefitted tremendously from the generosity of the Governors' Club for many years and it is most appropriate that this donation, which puts the club over the $1 million mark, represents tremendous support for CMCC and our campaign for university affiliation. Thank you."

Since its inception in 1981, the Governors' Club has been integral to the advancement of CMCC. Projects funded through club donations have had a major impact on the education, research and patient service at the college.
