New York's highest court of appeals has held that no-fault insurers cannot deny no-fault benefits where they unilaterally determine that a provider has committed misconduct based upon alleged fraudulent conduct. The Court held that this authority belongs solely to state regulators, specifically New York's Board of Regents, which oversees professional licensing and discipline. This follows a similar recent ruling in Florida reported in this publication.
Chiroweb Adds Student Section
In its continuing effort to become the most complete chiropractic resource on the World Wide Web, Chiroweb has added the Chiropractic School DaZe section to its website. School DaZe, sponsored by the National Chiropractic Mutual Insurance Company, provides valuable information for chiropractic students and students-to-be.
School DaZe is divided into several sections for easy access. For instance, the Job Board, a free service of Chiroweb, helps students find an associate position and lets DCs and students post job information. The International Chiropractic Colleges Directory provides links to many college websites, plus addresses and telephone/fax numbers. And the Chat Room offers a forum for chiropractic students around the world to meet, interact and share ideas.
School DaZe also contains an e-mail address where students can ask questions or request more current information on colleges. You can access School Daze from Chiroweb via the For Chiros Only section; you can also enter it directly at http://www.chiroweb.com/SchoolDaze/.
