In Search of the Best Chiropractic Websites

Editorial Staff

The ChiroMaster award will be presented to 20 websites that enhance chiropractic's image on the World Wide Web.

On October 1, 1998, an independent panel of website consultants and developers will choose the best of the best in chiropractic websites. Finally, an award created to recognize doctors of chiropractic who have spent the time, money and effort to create exceptional websites for their practices.

The annual website award, ChiroMaster, was created by Dynamic Chiropractic to honor DCs who are educating and informing the public about the philosophy, art and science of chiropractic via the World Wide Web.

The website award is a sign of prestige, an electronic status symbol, and a motivational tool to encourage development of top-quality chiropractic websites. Receiving the ChiroMaster is a great way to generate more traffic to chiropractic sites and promote interest between related websites.

With those ideals in mind, Dynamic Chiropractic will present this award to the 20 most deserving chiropractic sites and present these to the profession as examples of what can be created to enhance chiropractic's image via the Web. Sharing ideas is another way to help all DCs develop excellent websites.

The award-winning sites will be featured on the ChiroMaster awards page on ChiroWeb (http://www.chiroweb.com), Dynamic Chiropractic's website. The awards page has the links to the award-winning chiropractic sites for easy access by the almost 30,000 monthly visitors to ChiroWeb.

The winning sites will also receive the ChiroMaster award graphic that they can proudly display on their website's home page. The creation of this award marks the first website award designed specifically to recognize the work of chiropractors in reaching the public via the World Wide Web.

If you don't have a website, we hope this award will motivate you to make your presence know on the World Wide Web. If that isn't reason enough, remember the nearly 30,000 visits that Chiroweb receives each month. Then think of how many of those visitors (many of them potential patients) would be interested in paying a visit to a site that has won the ChiroMaster award.

If you know of a chiropractic website that you would like to submit to Dynamic Chiropractic, or if you would like to submit your own site for review, please send an e-mail to editorial@dcmedia.com, with the title "Chiromaster Award Submission" in the subject field of your message. Make sure to include the following information:

 • your full name;
 • your e-mail address;
 • the title and web address of the website being submitted;
 • a short description of the site;
 • a brief explanation of why your page deserves the ChiroMaster award.

The criteria for receiving the award are:
 • links or images will be taken into consideration and will lower your overall score.

 • too many pictures can ruin a good thing. The typical computer user should not have to wait more than 90 seconds to upload the page.

 • chiropractors. Commercial organizations and their websites will not be reviewed by Dynamic Chiropractic.

 • about the benefits of chiropractic. How well does the site tell the chiropractic story?

Site submissions will be accepted on a continuous basis until September 30th. Winning sites will receive recognition and be reviewed in upcoming issues of Dynamic Chiropractic. And if your site does not win this year, don't lose hope: ChiroMaster awards will be an annual presentation.

Good Luck!
