Chiropractic on the Big Screen

Moviegoers at more than 70 theaters spanning 10 U.S.. states saw a preshow trailer promoting the value of chiropractic care in late 2025 / early 2026. A Foundation for Chiropractic Progress (F4CP) initiative, the trailer, which ran from Nov. 3, 2025 to Jan. 25, 2026, featured chiropractic-themed trivia (a common format at movie theaters prior to the start of a movie) and shared the web address of the foundation’s National “Find a Doctor” Directory. The F4CP partnered with chiropractic state associations in promoting the trailer.

Bringing Chiropractic Back

The Fiscal Year 2026 National Defense Department Authorization Act includes a provision to restore chiropractic at six military healthcare facilities where services were discontinued in 2025. All of the clinics are high volume, seeing 400 or more patients per month, according to an American Chiropractic Association release, and discontinued chiropractic services because contracts with participating DCs elapsed.

Signed by President Trump as we went to press, the act “calls on the Defense Health Agency (DHA) to develop a plan to reopen closed clinics and to explore the feasibility of putting doctors of chiropractic stationed at military facilities in the federal General Schedule (GS) system,” per the ACA release. “Further, the amendment directs DHA to report back to the House and Senate on its progress by March 31, 2026.”

The Floyd D. Spence National Defense Authorization Act (2001) established the original chiropractic benefit in the DoD healthcare system.

WFC Names Replacement Director

Jason Jaeger, DC, FCBP, has been appointed World Federation of Chiropractic (WFC) board director representing the North American region. He fills the spot vacated by WFC Past President Dr. John Maltby, who assumed the role of interim secretary general following the abrupt departure of Prof. Brad Beira, who began serving as secretary general in July 2025.

Dr. Jaeger’s service as board director will continue until the two-year terms of the current board (2024-26) end and elections for a new board take place.
