MRI is currently the gold standard for identifying radicular pathology, but unfortunately, it requires preauthorization, which isn’t easy to obtain. Physical tests are what most practitioners depend on – despite the marginal reliability of the tests. The information in this article brings history and observation to the forefront of radicular diagnostics. Each factor listed can significantly increase the clinician’s ability to diagnose radiculopathies.
A Chiropractic Liaison for the MAHA Initiative
Dr. Victoria Dubin Master, Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) chiropractic liaison, graduated from New York Chiropractic College in 1989 and practiced in New Jersey for three decades before moving to practice full time in Vermont in 2022. In this exclusive interview with Dynamic Chiropractic, she shares how she became involved and why the MAHA initiative represents an unprecedented opportunity to advance chiropractic and the nation’s health.

Congratulations on your appointment as chiropractic liaison for Make American Healthy Again. How did you get the position and what have you been directed to do in your capacity as liaison? I became a leader for RFK Jr. to get on the ballot in Vermont for president and then supported him when he decided to join Trump and brought our Vermont Kennedy volunteers along for the ride. I carried our Kennedy group to become the Vermont MAHA group and worked hard to support him along the way and get our team to work. Now I am a chapter leader for Children’s Health Defense in Vermont, a health freedom advocate, and a Weston A Price chapter leader – which I became even before I moved full time to Vermont at the end of 2021.
My friend Leigh Merinoff, who rose up to a leadership position in the American Values PAC and organized events for RFK Jr., saw my hard work and knew I was a passionate chiropractor and leader, and wanted me to get the position as the liaison for MAHA to chiropractors when the job came available. I went through the application process and started the position June 1st, 2025.
My job as the MAHA liaison to chiropractors is to develop and maintain relationships with key American chiropractic organizations including licensed chiropractors in all fields of chiropractic, chiropractic universities, and any chiropractic outreach programs. I am responsible for building strategic relationships, disseminating critical updates, and educating stakeholders on evolving policies and initiatives from federal health agencies such as HHS, the FDA, NIH, and other relevant regulatory bodies.
What do you feel are the most significant aspects of Make America Great Again as they relate to the chiropractic profession? Everything about chiropractic is about Making America Healthy Again and this is the first time I am aware of in the history of chiropractic that we have top figures in the federal health agencies who actually care about the health of Americans, especially our children. We are at a time in history when the possibility of our species no longer existing is a potential reality as we watch the health of our children disintegrate before our eyes.
There are many factors that have been attributed to this, but before the current health administration took office, this was not only hidden from the public, but even worse, promoted as beneficial without studies to back them up. Many top officials in public health agencies were promoting dangerous pharmaceuticals; promoting processed food to our children that have toxic ingredients banned in other countries; using chemicals in our drinking water that are toxic to our children’s brains; and hiding evidence of harm that should have been exposed, but was hidden from the public.
Chiropractors as a profession have always recommended a healthy lifestyle, the best foods and supplements that support healing, good sleep, posture, proper exercises specific for their needs, and of course, referrals to other health professionals if necessary. We were MAHA before that was a phrase, and that is why we are the perfect healthcare providers to spread the MAHA message and support the work our current health administration is doing to heal our sick and ailing population.
The work that needs to be done to undo the harms in place is astronomical, but we as a profession can share with our colleagues and our patients the gratitude and opportunity we have at this time to shine our light on the truth about our gifts of chiropractic and our support for the MAHA movement.
What can the chiropractic profession, and DCs at the individual / practice level, do to capitalize on this unprecedented HHS endeavor? We can stand behind and alongside our current health administrators like the secretary of HHS, the FDA commissioner, the director of the NIH, the administrator for CMS, and others who are working tirelessly to change the projectory of our health outcomes in the current administration. This may be a task that seems impossible, but with our help, we can make a serious impact.
I would say that the last four years have had the largest impact on making our country sick, but this has really been going on for decades and that is because of government corruption which has been fueled by corporate incentives and conflicts of interest. Our current health agency is determined to expose these conflicts, provide true studies with proper double-blind, placebo trials on products that can cause great harm, and make food companies and fast-food establishments use ingredients that are not harmful and possibly even healthy – like removing seed oils from fast-food chains.
There is so much that needs to be done and is happening as we speak at these agencies. My job is to send our profession the truth of what is happening so we can share it on social media, in newsletters to our patients, and even in health care classes for chiropractic offices.
We may be hearing things or reading things in the media that are not true; and with AI being able to make people look real, but share lies, it is more important than ever to be the voice of reason for our community. We are the profession that should and can help keep the current health agency intact so they can do their job. As B.J. Palmer said : “You never know how far reaching something you do or say today can affect the lives of millions tomorrow.”
As chiropractors, we know that miracles exist, and we have a voice because we are supposed to use it for the good of our humanity. This is the time to step up and speak up while we have a voice and a population that is ready to listen.
In what ways can MAHA help address current issues with chiropractic being recognized / utilized to the best of its ability by patients and the health care system? We have people in our profession that are working on getting funding for research federally to prove the effectiveness of our work as chiropractors. There is a MAHA Institute that is doing work on the inside talking to different organizations and recommending products and health care modalities. The MAHA PAC is working on advocacy for the MAHA initiative; they want to promote chiropractic and have chiropractors help promote our health agencies. We are working on having a chiropractic roundtable at a Washington, D.C., MAHA Institute event.
There is also now MAHA Action, which is a non-partisan 501(c)4 organization dedicated to advocacy and activism to make America healthy again. The organization is holding biweekly Zoom calls for anyone who wants to spread the good word for MAHA. Here is the link to a recent meeting.
We as a profession can get out in front of the public and share the chiropractic story through different venues, events, social media, fairs, athletic events, articles in health publications, and collaboration with other health initiatives where the MAHA theme is taking front and center stage. The possibilities are endless.
Anything else you’d like to add? Yes, I would like to say that we as a profession are blessed to be here at this time in history. It is up to each and every one of us to step up and share the truth about chiropractic as more than pain relief, but a lifestyle and way of living that can add years to your life and life to your years.
Get over the fear of stepping out of your comfort zone: go on a podcast and don’t make it about you, make it about our children having a better life, and their children, and so on. Help our population get to the point that everyone has a chiropractor who they go to regularly and trust with their family’s health and wellness. We can do that – it’s not just our job, but our responsibility.
Finally, get some great young people to go to an excellent chiropractic college so they can be the future of healthcare at a time when people are ready for something as amazing as chiropractic. And stop doubting the people in our administration who are working themselves to the bone – not for fame and fortune, but to Make America Healthy Again.
