RAND REACH Center Adds Another Chiropractic Member

Cleveland University – Kansas City is a new institutional member of the RAND Research Across Complementary and Integrative Health Institutions (REACH) Center. The university joins 16 other institutional members across North America, seven of which currently have DC programs. Dr. Carl Cleveland III, CUKC president, will serve as a RAND REACH Executive Committee member, while Dr. Mark Pfefer, CUKC director of research, will serve as a Research Advisory Board member. New President of ICA

Dr. Joseph Betz was elected new president of the International Chiropractors Association during the ICA’s 99th Annual Convention in Clearwater, Fla. Dr. Betz succeeds Dr. Selina Sigafoose-Jackson, who served two terms (2021-2025). Dr. Betz previously served as ICA vice president during Dr. Sigafoose-Jackson’s presidency. Rounding out the ICA Board of Directors are Dr. Jon Stucky (vice president), Dr. Brian Moriarty (treasurer) and Dr. H. Michael Gibson (secretary).


NBCE: Latest Election Results

The National Board of Chiropractic Examiners’ Executive Committee remains unchanged after the unanimous re-election of Dr. Karlos Boghosian (president, at-large director), Dr. Jason Jaeger (vice president, district IV director), Dr. Margaret Freihaut (treasurer, district II director), and Dr. Carol Winkler (secretary, at-large director).

Rounding out the 11-member NBCE board are Dr. Jim Buchanan (re-elected district I director); Dr. Gary DiBenedetto (continuing as district III director); Dr. Danita Thomas Heagy (continuing as district V director); Dr. Karen Campion (appointed as at-large director to replace Dr. Freihaut); Steven C. Roberts, JD (at-large director); Dr. Robert Daschner (FCLB president, appointed as FCLB representative to NBCE); Dr. Lisa Kouzes (FCLB vice president, representative to NBCE).
