Because they have yet to pass national legislation protecting the chiropractic profession, Japanese DCs are in a similar situation that U.S. DCs faced. We were fortunate enough to be able to pass chiropractic licensure state by state. The DCs in Japan must accomplish this nationally, which has proved to be an extremely difficult task. And in spite of their efforts, Japanese DCs are currently faced with two chiropractic professions.
Mha Atma S. Khalsa, DC
Dr. Mha Atma S. Khalsa is a graduate of the 1978 class of the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic (now the Southern California University of Health Sciences). He has been in practice in Los Angeles since 1979, and has been a member of the American Chiropractic Association and the California Chiropractic Association since he started practice. He was recognized as a lifetime member of the CCA after 30 years as a dues-paying member. He is also a supporting member of the Foundation for Chiropractic Progress.
