WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
  • The project began in 2016 with chiropractic care for the employees of our school district in northwest Wisconsin and morphed into chiropractic care for students.
  • We are currently working with two local school districts and their local chiropractors, and a district and chiropractor in West Virginia.
  • If you are interested in starting chiropractic care in your schools and would like to learn more of our process, we would love to connect. Please visit our website: https://www.on-sitechiropractic.com/chiropractor.

In April 2022, we told our story in Dynamic Chiropractic (“Chiropractic for Every Child in School”) and shared a unique project we started in northwestern Wisconsin. The project began in 2016 with chiropractic care for the employees of our school district and morphed into chiropractic care for students.

As this began to grow in our district, our vision for the project became very clear. We envision a world where chiropractors are in the schools (like PTs, OTs, and other professions) and provide students with access to care to help improve their school day. So, over the past year and half, we have been on a mission to help this happen for our profession.

First, we must showcase our work and the benefits of chiropractic care in the schools. We have fundraised over $50K and continue to raise more money for Dr. Heidi Haavik and her team of researchers to analyze our data, write a current case series, and work on a proposal to advance to the next phase of research. Her team is diligently working on this, with hopes of beginning the next phase of research in 2024.

Chiropractic for Schoolchildren

With the prospects of what the future research will show, along with endorsements and positive feedback from staff, students and parents, we plan to help other chiropractors get into their schools to provide subluxation-based chiropractic care for our youth.

We are currently working with two local school districts and their local chiropractors, and a district and chiropractor in West Virginia. All three school districts have adopted this model of school-based chiropractic care, and are interested in creating similar programs and seeing the benefits for their students and staff as the program grows. Here are a few of the testimonials we have received from school administrators, teachers, students and parents:

“Chippewa Valley High School is in its 4th year of partnering with On-Site Chiropractic to provide School-Based Chiropractic Care for students. ... While hard data may be difficult to come by, I feel strongly that the chiropractic services provided at CVHS impact student attendance and engagement. We are fortunate to have this partnership.” — Dave Schaller, Principal of Chippewa Valley High School

“I have seen a huge difference in my child since starting chiropractic care, not only physically but also in his behavior.” — A.R. (parent)

“I’ve noticed students [have] greatly improved both academically & behaviorally.” — M.P. (teacher)

“I am always so tired on Mondays, but after I see you I am ENERGIZED!” — Student, Parkview Elementary

We are just getting started on this mission and we would love your support. If you are interested in starting chiropractic care in your schools and would like to learn more of our process, we would love to connect. Please visit our website: https://www.on-sitechiropractic.com/chiropractor.

Thank you to all the chiropractors who have donated to our vision. We are so grateful for all our individual donors and cooperate sponsors! If you are interested in donating to our project, please visit our website and 501(c)3 page: https://www.on-sitechiropractic.com/nonprofit.
