Some doctors thrive in a personality-based clinic and have a loyal following no matter what services or equipment they offer, but for most chiropractic offices who are trying to grow and expand, new equipment purchases help us stay relevant and continue to service our client base in the best, most up-to-date manner possible. So, regarding equipment purchasing: should you lease, get a bank loan, or pay cash?
National Board Issues Call for Director Nominations
The National Board of Chiropractic Examiners (NBCE) needs you! The board has issued a call for district I, district II and at-large director seats on the NBCE Executive Board. Elections will be held May 7, 2022, with application submission deadlines for doctors of chiropractic interested in a director position of April 22 (at-large director) and May 7 (district I and II director.)
The NBCE board of directors features 11 members: five district directors elected by state delegates, two directors appointed by the Federation of Chiropractic Licensing Boards (FCLB) and four at-large directors elected by the board. If elected to one of the open positions, your term will begin immediately, with annual elections held thereafter and a term limit for at-large directors of eight years.
To apply for an open director position, send a letter of intent and curriculum vitae to Dr. Norman Ouzts, NBCE chief executive officer, via email: nouzts@nbce.org (copy Dr. Daniel Cote, NBCE president: dcote@nbce.org).
In its official call for nominations, the NBCE outlines the fundamental attributes and responsibilities required of all board members:

- Demonstrate a strong belief and commitment to the NBCE's mission, vision, and values
- Exhibit high ethical standards and integrity in all board actions in accordance with the mission of the NBCE
- Advocate for the NBCE
- Take responsibility and accountability for all decisions made by the board
