As a practitioner, you know foot pain should be addressed as soon as possible, as pain in one or both feet can potentially lead to impairment of foot function. But rather than treating foot pain with over-the-counter pain and anti-inflammatory medications such as ibuprofen, or prescription nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), or even corticosteroid injections for chronic foot pain, why not try red light / infrared therapy?

ICA Report: Immune Function and Chiropractic
The International Chiropractors Association has issued a revised version of its 2020 report, Immune Function and Chiropractic: What Does the Evidence Provide? While the ICA has "given clear guidance to our members that no claims may be asserted that chiropractic is a prophylactic or cure for COVID-19," the report concludes: "Although there are no clinical trials to substantiate a direct causal relationship between the chiropractic adjustment and increased protection from the COVID-19 virus, there is a growing body of evidence that there is a relationship between the nervous system and the immune system. As a service to chiropractors around the world, and their patients, the ICA has committed to developing and maintaining this library of relevant scientific evidence." ANJC Steps Up During COVID-19 Crisis

Association of New Jersey Chiropractors board members provided 130 meals to doctors and nurses (see photo) at Chilton Medical Center in Pompton Plains, N.J., in April. According to the association, the medical center is in one the areas hit hardest by the COVID-19 crisis.
The ANJC also reported a successful spring conference, held virtually due to COVID-19 restrictions. The association offered the conference at no cost to its members.
