When sports chiropractors first appeared at the Olympic Games in the 1980s, it was alongside individual athletes who had experienced the benefits of chiropractic care in their training and recovery processes at home. Fast forward to Paris 2024, where chiropractic care was available in the polyclinic for all athletes, and the attitude has now evolved to recognize that “every athlete deserves access to sports chiropractic."
Chiropractic Takes the Gold at PR World Awards
The Foundation for Chiropractic Progress (F4CP) has won gold at the 2019 PR World Awards. The foundation took home the top spot in the "Achievements: Healthcare – Other" category and will officially receive the prestigious award at an October red-carpet awards ceremony in San Francisco.
The international awards competition, now in its ninth year, states it recognizes "business achievements [by] individuals and organizations of every size and from all over the world." According to the PR World Awards site, the F4CP was recognized for its campaign, "Raising Awareness of Chiropractic as a Safe, Drug-free Approach."
The PR World Awards win is the second significant honor for the Foundation for Chiropractic Progress and the chiropractic profession in recent months. Readers will recall that Dr. Sherry McAllister, executive vice president of the F4CP, was named co-winner in the Directors Category at the PRNews Top Women in Healthcare Awards.
