A historic meeting between chiropractic and Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) leadership took place on March 10th, 2026, in Washington, D.C., featuring representatives from chiropractic national organizations, professional associations and policy principals. The collective goal: advancing the role of chiropractic in improving the health of Americans. Meeting participants focused on long-standing issues that have affected the chiropractic profession for decades, including access to care, reimbursement parity, and ensuring DCs have an appropriate role in national health policy discussions.

Dr. Claire Johnson: Clinical Compass Person of the Year
Claire Johnson, DC, MSEd, PhD, is the recipient of the Clinical Compass Person of the Year award. According to the Compass, which is powered by the Congress on Chiropractic Guidelines and Practice Parameters (CCGPP), the award "is bestowed upon individuals who demonstrate exemplary service to the chiropractic profession, the Clinical Compass, and evidence-based practice."
"It is our honor to recognize Claire Johnson, DC, MSEd, PhD for the Clinical Compass Person of the Year Award," said Dr. Jay Greenstein, Clinical Compass char. "She has worked tirelessly to promote the work of the research performed by Clinical Compass and has engaged our organization in ways that few others could – enthusiasm, creativity, execution, and results. More importantly, the chiropractic profession and the patients we serve are lucky to have Dr. Johnson as a thought leader and role model."
In addition to her role as a Clinical Compass board member, she serves as editor in chief of National University of Health Sciences' scientific journals (including JMPT), and is involved with the American Public Health Association (APHA) and Global Spine Care Initiative (GSCI).
