NUHS Focuses on Heart Health
National University of Health Sciences recently announced it has partnered with Cleveland HeartLab to help assess patients' risk of suffering a heart attack or cardiovascular disease. According to the university, "Five simple blood tests [offered by HeartLab] can inform NUHS physicians on the level of inflammation in the arteries, as well as plaque formation (arteriosclerosis). This gives NUHS clinicians a more complete picture of each patient's risk for heart attack."
The cardiac panel is provided as part of the HeartLab cardiac wellness program at National's Whole Health Centers.
"Since heart disease is still America's number-one cause of death, it's great that our Lombard and Naperville clinics can offer cutting-edge lab tests at an affordable cost," said Dr. David Parish, NUHS dean of clinics. "Because our clinics offer integrative medical care, including chiropractic, allopathic, naturopathic and Oriental medicine, we can follow up with patients after their test to offer effective natural solutions to improve their cardiac wellness."
ChiroTouch Continues Major Support of the Foundation
The Foundation for Chiropractic Progress has recognized ChiroTouch as a Level 4 sponsor following the software company's recent $25,000 donation The donation is ChiroTouch's second $25,000 pledge to the foundation, making it a $50,000 (Level 4) annual sponsor. ChiroTouch has also pledged to donate $250 from each 4th-quarter software sale to the F4CP; donations will be made on behalf of the purchasing doctor and the company.
