Foundation for Chiropractic Progress Surpasses All Previous Membership Drives

In July 2012 the Foundation for Chiropractic Progress (F4CP), a not-for-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness of the value of chiropractic care, gained over 400 new monthly contributors. This impressive increase in membership was the direct result of a voluntary invoice mailing to non-members and an appearance by NFL Hall of Famer Jerry Rice at the 2012 homecoming of Life Chiropractic College West.

"This month represents the most successful ever in F4CP recruitment," shared Kent S. Greenawalt, chairman, F4CP. "Although our campaign continues to be progressively more effective in communicating the benefits of chiropractic care to the public, our support from within the profession has not kept pace. The remarkable outcome achieved through these actions demonstrates the potential for continued growth. The more support our campaign has, the more we can accomplish for chiropractic."

Each of the F4CP initiatives concentrated on building the list of monthly contributors. The invoice – which continues to bring in new contributors – simplified the donation process, allowing doctors to submit a one-time donation of $180 for a year’s worth of membership benefits. The Rice event, which also gave contributors complete access to membership benefits, offered the unique opportunity to receive a complimentary photo with the legendary athlete.

"Moving forward, we will continue to raise the bar for ourselves -- improving membership efforts and other initiatives to drive participation," added Greenawalt. "Our end goal is to gain the support of every doctor of chiropractic because they see the benefits and understand the positive impact our campaign has on the public."
