ACA Names First-Ever Sponsor of National Chiropractic Health Month

The American Chiropractic Association (ACA) has announced that Standard Process, Inc., manufacturer of nutritional whole food supplements and longtime supporter of the chiropractic profession, is helping to raise public awareness of chiropractic by sponsoring National Chiropractic Health Month (NCHM) 2012. Standard Process is the first official sponsor in the history of the NCHM observance.

"Standard Process is a natural fit to partner with ACA in its efforts to promote greater health and wellness. The company as a whole aims to improve quality of life by providing whole food supplements through health care professionals," said ACA President Keith Overland, DC. "National Chiropractic Health Month is a celebration of how a healthy lifestyle-that includes exercise and good nutrition and that is enhanced by the services provided by doctors of chiropractic-can help patients feel their best, naturally."

Sponsored by ACA, NCHM is a nationwide annual observance held in October to raise public awareness of the benefits of services provided by chiropractic physicians and their natural, whole-person, patient-centered approach to health and wellness. This year's theme, "Discover Chiropractic: Find Your Game," focuses on how doctors of chiropractic can help people feel their best every day, regardless of age, occupation or fitness level; and how everyone can get active and take simple steps toward optimal health, wellness and functioning.

"Every time I hear customers talk about the positive changes in their lives due to the addition of nutrition to a chiropractic physician's treatment regimen, it humbles me and strengthens my resolve to continue to support the chiropractic profession," said Charles C. DuBois, president of Standard Process. "Our company partners with organizations such as ACA in a conscious effort to raise public awareness of the benefits that chiropractic care and nutrition can provide, and we are honored to be a part of National Chiropractic Health Month."

In addition to its own NCHM activities, ACA offers an online tool kit for doctors of chiropractic, as well as state chiropractic associations, chiropractic colleges, Student ACA (SACA) chapters and anyone who wishes to participate. The kit contains information and resources that will assist participants in planning and implementing NCHM activities at local and regional levels. Certain resources are exclusively available to ACA members. To learn more, click here.
