When sports chiropractors first appeared at the Olympic Games in the 1980s, it was alongside individual athletes who had experienced the benefits of chiropractic care in their training and recovery processes at home. Fast forward to Paris 2024, where chiropractic care was available in the polyclinic for all athletes, and the attitude has now evolved to recognize that “every athlete deserves access to sports chiropractic."
Kent Greenawalt Elected Fellow of the International Chiropractors Association
Kent S. Greenawalt, chairman of the Foundation for Chiropractic Progress (F4CP) and CEO of Foot Levelers, Inc., has been inducted into the Distinguished Fellows of the International Chiropractors Association (FICA). Inductees must be nominated and elected by the members of the FICA.
The majority of fellows are chiropractors, but non-chiropractors also are inducted for significant accomplishments. Dr. Gerry Clum nominated Greenawalt for the substantial contributions he has made to the profession.
"Kent exists in a class by himself," Dr. Clum stated. "No one can compare to Kent's generosity, dedication and passion, which is the basis of the ICA Fellowship award."
"I am honored from the bottom of my heart to be elected into the distinguished fellows of the ICA," Greenawalt commented. "My involvement is a labor of love. I've witnessed the wonders of chiropractic and feel an absolute passion to let humanity know what chiropractic has to offer."
From the perspective of ICA, being an ICA fellow is the highest recognition of leadership. This honor conveys to recipients an acknowledgement of the dedication and service to the goals, principles, and ideals of the ICA and the chiropractic profession.
Dr. Gerry Clum concluded, "I specifically nominated Kent for his vision, steadfastness, and generosity in bringing the F4CP into reality and sustaining it over time. ICA is impressed with all his work and wanted to recognize his leadership in the F4CP efforts."
