The American Chiropractic Association (ACA) is pleased to announce the formation of the Chiropractic Board of Clinical Nutrition (CBCN), which is now authorized to grant diplomate status in the field of clinical nutrition.
"A credentialing and certifying agency, the Chiropractic Board of Clinical Nutrition was formed as a professional specialty board for doctors of chiropractic," said CBCN President Jeffrey E. Weber, MA, DC, DCBCN. "Our goals are to advance clinical nutrition while at the same time enhancing the health of chiropractic patients."
Any doctor of chiropractic who has taken nutrition classes offered through an accredited institution may be eligible to be grandfathered into the CBCN until Sept. 30, 2009. Grandfathering of initial CBCN diplomates are allowed as follows:
The CBCN was created and operates under the auspices of the ACA with full autonomy in the areas of testing standards and procedures. The CBCN is collaborating with the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners to develop and administer the CBCN examination. A date has not yet been set for the first certification examination.

The results of a global survey released late last year (2023) unveiled some startling findings among medical and nursing students. The “Clinician of the Future: 2023 Education Edition” surveyed 2,212 students, of which 446 were in the United States, from 91 countries.
