A Call for Submissions

Editorial Staff

As we approach our 24th year of publication, Dynamic Chiropractic is pleased to announce a call for article submissions for 2006. Interested authors should submit one or more original articles, along with a brief curriculum vitae (CV) and a current color photograph, to editorial@mpamedia.com.

We encourage articles on any topic concerning the art, science or philosophy of chiropractic. However, based on the results of reader surveys, the following general topic areas may be given priority in 2006 when reviewing articles for publication:

  • Weight/Strength Training and Chiropractic
  • Chiropractic Care for Seniors
  • Insurance/Managed Care/The Practice
  • Clinical Tips
  • Practice Management
  • The New Practitioner
  • The Future of Chiropractic Education
  • CAM and Holistic Health

Our editorial board generally reviews article submissions within three to five weeks. If an article is accepted, notification is sent to the author (by e-mail whenever possible), along with a standard Assignment of Copyright form, which must be signed and returned to us before we can publish the article. Signing the copyright form once will cover all current and future submissions.

We do not consider articles that have been submitted to (or accepted by) another publisher. Articles also must not be commercial or promotional with respect to a product or service. If the article is accepted, any such references will be omitted or reworded in general terms.

We recommend a maximum approximate article length of 100-150 lines (1,000-1,500 words). Longer articles will be considered, particularly if the topic necessitates it, but such articles may need to be broken into two or more parts and published as a series.

We prefer submissions as Microsoft Word documents in 11-point Times New Roman font, typed, single-spaced, as this format translates best for our graphic design department. If you do not have Word, a simple text file will work, even pasted into the body of an e-mail message. If submitting images with the article, please format images separate from the document (make appropriate notation as to where each should be placed) and include complete image captions as necessary. If sending an article via postal mail, please include a printed copy and a copy saved to a floppy disc.

Thank you in advance for sharing your thoughts and expertise with the chiropractic profession.
