Activator Store Opens On ChiroMall

Activator Methods, International has just opened its own electronic "store" on ChiroMall, the chiropractors-only shopping mall on ChiroWeb.com. The Activator online store offers doctors of chiropractic the opportunity to purchase over 62 chiropractic products online in seven categories.

DCs are required to use their unique user ID and password to enter the Activator store on ChiroMall. ChiroMall is designed to allow only DCs to view and purchase products. This protects doctors from having patients buy products around them, or even knowing what DCs have paid for a particular product.

ChiroMall is located at www.ChiroMall.com. All DCs were given their unique user ID and password in the Oct. 6, 2003 issue. If you don't know your user ID and password, you may request it via e-mail: listservices@mpamedia.com. Please provide your name, address and license number.

There has long been an attempt by those who are not legitimate doctors of chiropractic to usurp the title of chiropractor from those who have earned their degree from an accredited chiropractic program. This generally happens in countries where the local doctors of chiropractic have yet to pass legislation requiring a degree from an accredited institution. Effective Sept. 1, 2024, UHC/Optum is requiring prior authorization for the following services delivered in office and outpatient hospital settings, excluding services in the home: Medicare-covered chiropractic services (when billed with the AT-modifier), as well as physical therapy (PT), occupational therapy (OT), and speech therapy (ST).
