Cleveland Chiropractic College of Kansas City was recently awarded continued accreditation by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.

President Carl S. Cleveland III received formal notification of the decision from Patricia Thrash, executive director of North Central, on October 31. During meetings held October 26-27, North Central's Commission of Institutions of Higher Education voted to continue Cleveland's present accreditation. The next comprehensive evaluation for Cleveland College is scheduled for 1989-99. CCC-KC holds specialized accreditation with the Council on Chiropractic Education.

President Cleveland sees continued North Central accreditation as an integral part of the growth and expansion of chiropractic education.

"Regional accreditation with the North Central Association has been an important step towards positioning chiropractic education as part of mainstream higher education, and has opened opportunities for interaction with other area institutions of higher learning," President Cleveland said. "I would like to thank the staff and faculty at Cleveland College for their work and continued involvement in the accreditation process."
